Thursday Night Football kicks off with the Jets visiting the Colts, and we’ve immediately reached the largest spread of the Week 9 slate.
Indy is giving away two full touchdowns and this is a bad matchup all the way around for New York, which doesn’t have enough talent to begin with. Now throw in traveling on a short week with a backup quarterback against a red-hot Colts team, and this is a recipe for disaster. The Jets’ 29th-ranked run defense (according to DVOA metrics) is no match for a Colts offense ranks top 10 in both yards per rush and yards per pass. Few units have allowed more explosive plays than Gang Green and this has the potential to be the time of Jonathan Taylor’s life. Giving away two touchdowns is mighty uncomfortable but that’s the way we lean, along with the over at 44 or less. I think that this is going to be a tough one for both teams but the Indianapolis Colts will break-through & win 14-10 over the New York Jets.
